NATIONAL HIGHWAY BRIDGE |
The satarghat bridge of Champaran, which is included in the Ram Janaki path connecting Ayodhya to Janakpur, is ready. The movement of trains will start from December 31 from the Sattarghat bridge, which is being built between Sattarghat and Faizullahpur of Motihari. The construction of the bridge began on 20 October 2015. The total length of this bridge, built in seven years, is 9.06 km including approach road. It has a 1.44 km long bridge over the Gandak River. Motihari and Gopalganj will directly benefit from the commencement of the bridge.
With the construction of the bridge, it will be easy to travel to Motihari and Gopalganj. It will now be easy to visit the Buddha Stupa at Saffron. Sant Kabir Das's son Kamal Das's birthplace is in Gopalganj. This bridge will help in coming to Kamal Das's birthplace. Apart from State Highways 73-74, National Highways 28 and 90 will be helpful in movement. This will take two hours less to reach Patna via Motihari to Chhapra. Whereas people of Gopalganj will now take only one and a half hours to come to Muzaffarpur. Siwan will be able to come in one hour living in Champaran. The importance of the bridge can also be understood from the fact that NH-227A Ram Janaki path has been announced to connect Ayodhya to Janakpur. There is also Sattarghat bridge in this NH.
